The list winners and finalists of the 10th Annual Christmas Songwriting Competition have been released. Songwriters Troy Castellano, Corey Lee Barker and Robert Bacon of Nashville, TN won top honors with their song “I’m Melting Into You”.
“It was amazing to win the Christmas Songwriting Competition. The song and video did well this Holiday season. So, this is a great acknowledgement. I’m elated to share this news with my co-writers” said the top winners Troy Castellano, Corey Lee Barker and Robert Bacon.
Nashville based Troy Castellano is a contemporary country artist, songwriter and producer from Nashville, Tennessee. His music has received placements on CMT, MTV, TLC, DISCOVERY, CW, SPIKE, FOX, as well as others.
Nashville based Corey Lee Barker is a songwriter with over 2300 cuts on records, TV and movie Placements. His songs have been recorded by Daryle Singletary, Neal McCoy, Darryl Worley, Tracy Lawrence, Cledus T Judd, Home Free, Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan, Jeanie Seeley, Rhonda Vincent, and many more. Corey Lee Barker won the 3rd prize at the previous Christmas Songwriting Competition.
Robert Bacon is a rising star in the country music scene. Hailing from the scenic Midwest, his deep roots in farm life have greatly influenced his sound and artistic vision.
Tedd Swormstedt and Ryan Hydro Cincinnati, OH won the second prize with their song “Christmas Will Find You”.
Grant Maloy Smith from Wakefield, RI won the third prize with his song “On This Day”.
All top two songs were multi-way co-writes.
