On its original release in September of 2025, Baby Audio’s Tekno set the standard for hard-hitting analog-style drum synthesis. Widely praised for its authentic circuit-modeling and expansive sound design possibilities, Tekno quickly became a user favorite.
Based on ongoing dialogue with the user community, Baby Audio now introduces Tekno V1.1, a comprehensive update with a long list of enhancements including the most requested feature—an onboard sequencer.
Creative sequencing tool
Tekno’s new sequencer view gives producers an inspiring beat creation environment directly inside the plugin. With dedicated lanes for all 18 voices and up to 32 steps per lane, the sequencer offers creative features like smart randomization, shortenable lanes for polyrhythms, speed multipliers and hit chance.
User experience and workflow
Tekno V1.1 includes other major improvements sourced directly from user feedback. With features like global undo/redo, full kit sample export and four available choke groups, the V1.1 update makes Tekno a complete platform for DAW-based drum production. See the full change-log on page 2.
In addition to the desktop plugin update, Baby Audio has announced an iOS edition of Tekno with full AuV3 support to be released with the V1.1 update on January 8th, 2026.
