_What’s new?

KeyStep 37 mk2 has more physical controls: 5 more keys, 2 additional buttons and 4 knobs to control sub-menus. _10 Cool Things to have fun with

_Creative Chords
Hold Chord and press some keys to create a Chord. Long press on the Chord button to reveal Chord settings. Set it to Velocity Spread to control the number of notes with velocity. Choose a Scale to keep things in tune. Now play some notes to hear some Chord extravaganza!

_Build some patterns
Activate Seq Mode. Step record some notes in Stop mode. Use the “Double” Shift function to duplicate it. Now Shift + Record to toggle Overdub and press Play to real-time record on top of your initial sequence.

_Unquantized Recording
Long press on Seq button to choose quantized or unquantized recording. Capture natural timing and groove with unquantized real-time performance.

_Pattern Chaining
Link multiple patterns to create full songs or evolving live sets.

_Classic Arpeggios.
Activate Arp Mode. Play with Arp Octaves. Hold the Timing button (metronome icon) and press key labeled 16 to set the Arp Length to 16. Now your arpeggio will reset every 16 steps for a more rhythmic feel.

_Pattern Arpeggios.
Look at keys labeled 7 up to 15. The small icons represent the generative Arpeggios. Rather than a fixed arpeggio pattern (up, down, ..) it will loop a phrase that uses the notes that are pressed on the keyboard. The style of arpeggio is displayed on the icon, with few or many, short or long notes, and polyphony. Use Mutate to hear a new variation of this Pattern.

_Mutate
Mutate transforms sequences or arps instantly — from subtle tweaks to bold variations — with the press of a button.

_Gate Length Control
Shape note duration dynamically for expressive, percussive results.

_Spice
Alongside Mutate, use Shift + mod Wheel to inject controlled randomness into rhythms, to keep patterns evolving and unpredictable

_As a Modular controller
Patch all four CV/Gate outputs, assign Mod 1/Mod 2 outputs to Aftertouch, Velocity, Mod Wheel, a random per-step, a pulse per step
