UVI launches Falcon 2.5 with special promotion, over 100 new presets, effects, modulators, sequencers, effects and more, now with native Apple M1 support, free for all existing users
Paris, October 6th, 2021 – UVI launches Falcon 2.5, a free update to their flagship hybrid instrument. The update includes 2 new effects, TS Overdrive and VCF-20, 2 new modulators, Smooth Random and Multi LFO, 11 new scripts including Cartesian Sequencer, Euclidean Keys, Probability Arp, Rain Sequencer, Wave Sequencer, Warp Sequencer, MIDI Record, MIDI Pitch Delay, MIDI Monitor, Note Pan, and Velocity Test, updated UIs for Chord Bank, Chorder, Chorder Extended, Scale, Mapper, Tonal Harmonizer, Step Line, Polyphonic Sequencer and MIDI CC LFO scripts, over 100 new factory presets, script-only UI scaling, native Apple M1 support, and more. Falcon 2.5 is available immediately for all users of Falcon through the UVI Portal desktop app or at uvi.net.
Falcon 2.5 adds two new effects to its library of over 90, TS Overdrive, a drive-stage emulation of the famous tube distortion pedal, and VCF-20, an emulation of the famous MS filter (rev-2), including a single version with HP/LP morph, and a dual version with discrete LP and HP filters.
In addition to the new effects, Falcon 2.5 includes 2 new modulators, Smooth Random, a random LFO generator with smooth evolution, and Multi LFO, a complex LFO with sine, triangle, square, saw, and random wave contributions. 11 new scripts have been added giving users creative new ways to sequence (Cartesian, Rain, Wave, and Warp Sequencers), and perform (Euclidean Keys, Probability Arp, and Note Pan), as well as some handy utilities for working with MIDI (MIDI Record, MIDI Pitch Delay, MIDI Monitor, and Velocity Test). In addition to numerous other improvements, Falcon now runs native on Apple M1 systems.
