Scarlett Sessions is Focusrite’s monthly streaming event in which a talented artist will perform live on Facebook and answer questions about their music. At Focusrite, we’re passionate about making music and are always excited to find like-minded people. So, we sought out our favorite social media stars and they will be performing for Focusrite’s followers, and their fans.

The sixth monthly edition of Scarlett Sessions, first broadcast on Friday, August 17, 2018, features local artist, Pompous. Based out of Redondo Beach, Pompous is a unique melting pot of musical genres and styles. You can find sounds of the classically trained jazz trombone, to the rockabilly slap of the upright bass. The original three members, Mike Johnson, Philip Daro and Matt Pliskin, met in a Jazz Ensemble class in High School. There they became friends and formed the beginning of what is now known as “Pompous”. Later, trombone player Chris Ready, joined the band to add the finishing touch to their unique style.

You can watch the Pompous Scarlett Session here.

Get as excited as we are about Pompous and all of our Scarlett Sessions artists, here. On this page, you can see previous Sessions and sign up to receive updates and reminders for future Scarlett Sessions.
