Ableton is excited to announce that Live 12.2 will be released on June 11. This free update is focused on increasing the creative capabilities of Live 12 and introduces new devices and workflows as well as additional improvements for both Live and Push.

Included is Expressive Chords, a new tool that helps you intuitively explore chords, progressions, and harmonic ideas. Additionally, Auto Filter has been revised with new sounds and a new interface. Users now have additional ways to shape sounds with Auto Filter by using formant style modulation and variations of dynamic movement. Auto Filter also comes to Move with the 1.5 update.

The Spectral Resonator is now scale aware, giving you resonance and transformations of textural characteristics, specific to the key of your performance. The Roar device also has an improved delay routing mode and supports MIDI input to enable new creative possibilities, both for bass, rhythm makers, and other effects.

Additional improvements in Live 12.2 include more flexible search and sound organization in the browser, a convenient Bounce to New Track function for faster idea capture, and expanded Follow Actions on Push, giving users more performance control directly from their Push.
