A Family of Headphones Compared: The Audio-Technica ATH-Mx Series

Which one is right for you?

Every month in RECORDING, we bring you reviews of the latest products that the industry has to offer. While we usually focus on the shiny and new, it’s also important that we don’t forget about products that continue to be valued studio tools, whether they be one, five or over ten years in production. Unlike dairy and produce, most audio products do not have a sell-by date.

Back in our October 2019 issue, we ran a piece titled, A Family of Mics Compared. In that roundup, Associate Editor Alex Hawley undertook a side-by-side look at six models in the ADK Z-Mod series of microphones. This month we welcome you to the re-launch/reboot of this semi-occasional column, with a look at the Audio-Technica ATH-Mx line of headphones.
