“Above Water” is a male vocal rock song. Troy composed, performed, recorded, mixed and mastered the track at his home studio.

Recording: Troy has done a superb job on just about every aspect here. From the writing and arrangement to the playing and tones, this is certainly one of the better one-man-band efforts to come down the pike in quite some time.
We love how Troy was able to present a clean mix while keeping a gritty vibe at the same time. The electric guitars have a nice snarl, the bass is round and fat, and Troy’s lead vocal sits perfectly in the mix. Kudos as well for the balanced harmony vocals, they blend quite nicely to our ears.
Suggestions: About the only area that we could find for improvement with Troy’s submission would be with the drums. While he has done a more than adequate job with his computer-derived “kit”, we would love to hear the added energy that a live drummer would bring to the proceedings. That said, given the resources at his disposal, Troy has done himself proud with “Above Water”.
