Production Notes & Credits:
“Aftershow” is a female vocal, techno / pop song. Steven wrote, produced, performed and recorded the track with some help from Tina Norden on the vocals.

Recording: This month’s Spotlight comes to us from London, England and is a interesting and creative departure from our norm. Steven tells us that he is interested in “fusing the retro / futurist sound of Donna Summer with the Stooges-dancefloor-friendly sounds of keyboards that sound like robots, and guitars that sound like angry bees.” Tough to argue with that, especially when the end product pretty much matches the description!
On first listen, we thought that “Aftershow” would be an excellent example of music composed for a commercial. After reading Steven’s letter, we found out that this is indeed his goal. He states that his recording project, column:inches, is “looking to use its music in television, film, advertising, radio, websites and other forms of production.” To that end, we would say that Steven has found his niche, and has all of the skills to compete in this exciting and (potentially) lucrative market. Well done!
Summary: This one stayed in our head for a looooong time, always a good sign in the commercial world.
