Just a quick "hello" from the as-yet-empty show floor at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, where the 2009 AES Convention is about to start. The show appears at first glance to be much smaller than in previous years, but those appearances are deceiving; almost all of the usual exhibitors are here, but they have smaller booths.

Camera phone in hand, I'll be wandering the show floor and taking pictures for you all to look at, and trying to blog when I have a moment to myself here in our booth. If you're coming to AES, please stop by and say hello, we're at Booth 644. There will be a full show report written up after we get back home, and I may do a longer blog entry at the end of it all, but for now, Your Intrepid Associate Editor has to hit the floor and see some new gear. Here's to overpriced snack-bar food, sore feet, and brain overload!
