I just received an official statement from Avid about the Mackie product I mentioned in my August 5 blog. It reads as follows, and I quote, in its entirety:
"Avid (Digidesign) has not approved or tested Mackie equipment to be interoperable with any of its solutions. Pro Tools M-Powered is only licensed for use with our M-Audio peripheral products."
I am quite glad that I stuck to the facts in that blog, and I regret any inferences anyone might have drawn from those facts. (I particularly regret the inferences I drew from those facts.)
