Spring has Sprung—Jon Bare Is Living Proof
April 5, 2009
Don't know about your neck of the woods, but while the cool fall weather (sorry—make that autumn) in much of New Zealand heralded the coming winter, I'm back in Colorado where March and April mean wild fluctuations almost daily, making us change from shorts and tees to snowstorm gear in a hurry. Many of us remember very well how little this means when you live in Los Angeles—in 1996 the company moved from there to Boulder after all—and this morning's email confirms that.
Our good friend and longstanding author/contributor Jon Bare played a gig in an L.A. park—might as well have been summer, check it out:

Jon tells us this:
The Summer Of Love Show - a Woodstock 40th anniversary tribute band...
Mike Creamer - bass
Gerald Davis - guitar, vocals, Hendrix and Sly Stone
Shari Puorto - vocals, Janis Joplin and Grace Slick
Jon Bare - guitar, vocals, John Fogerty
Liz Parks - keyboards, vocals, Melanie
Terry Brent - drums, Keith Moon (not visible) - that other guy in the back is Darin our roadie.
The event was at the Playa Del Rey Lagoon Park celebration for the opening of some new additions they made. Beautiful day at the beach.
