Quote of the Day

“That first song on your demo is like a radio hit: you want to hook the listener in the first ten seconds, interest him/her more in the next ten seconds, and if you can really hold them through the first minute they might listen to your whole tape.”- John Simon

Dr. Suess Teaches Acoustics (badly)

December 18, 2008

Scott Dorsey knows my predilection for weird and wonderful media mashups, so he sent me a link to an audio ad by Dr. Suess in which the great illustrator incorrectly but hilariously explains what "wild tones" are and how his client's newly designed speaker cabinet tires out those naughty little wild tones before they can assault your ears. It's not exactly John Eargle, but it's definitely worth a grin.
