Quote of the Day

“Print things. Obviously, you’re going to have to print effects on with guitars and drum machines, because you can’t tie up your only piece of outboard gear on your drums. If it sounds good going down, by all means, print it! Print a stereo mix with the effects if it sounds good. Commit, commit!”- Tom Lord Alge

Dr. Suess Teaches Acoustics (badly)

December 18, 2008

Scott Dorsey knows my predilection for weird and wonderful media mashups, so he sent me a link to an audio ad by Dr. Suess in which the great illustrator incorrectly but hilariously explains what "wild tones" are and how his client's newly designed speaker cabinet tires out those naughty little wild tones before they can assault your ears. It's not exactly John Eargle, but it's definitely worth a grin.
