Hi, Readers,
Here in LA, I have been lucky to meet talented musicians, producers, and engineers almost on a daily basis. Sometimes I even meet people who are all in one, and such is the case of Waldo Valenzuela.
The Chilean-born guitar player just released The Light of the Sixth Sun, a collection of eclectic original instrumentals that he produced and engineered. It features some outstanding players, and is a great example of a very well executed independent recording.
If you are a fan of jazz-fusion, you will not be disappointed with this album. The sounds were all excellently recorded, and the parts were all masterfully played. The rhythms he imbues the compositions with reflect his Latin-American heritage, and he has enviable chops that he combines with catchy melodies. Check it out on CD Baby now!
